My clients had made the decision that their much-loved Victorian walled garden was in need of some enhancement and a new design for the entire area. The garden had an existing concrete paved area at the back of the house which was the starting point for a complete re design which would then link up with all the other newly designed areas. The garden had some existing beautiful topiary, mature Yew hedges and some fabulous trees and these were all incorporated into the new design.
Along with the newly designed terraces and planting at the back of the house we agreed to add a stunning new central circular pond and fountain which would form a central point within the garden and give a great view from the front door leading the eye on to the existing door set in the far brick garden wall. We incorporated a series of new gravel paths around the garden, a new greenhouse with cutting garden, a new kitchen garden, an avenue of Crab Apple trees underplanted with Narcissus and Galanthus, a new open sided oak building for entertaining and many new deep planting areas.
This was a fabulous project to work on and both I and the clients are delighted with the results!
